BLACKSTONES: were founded in 1920, nicknamed “Stones”, colours navy blue and white, change colours - Royal blue and white stripes.. They played in local Peterborough leagues until joining the UCL Division 1 for the 1984-85 season and were promoted to the premier division for the 89-90 season. Former names were Rutland Ironworks Blackstone until 1975, then Mirrlees Blackstone until 1998, when they became Blackstones. BOSTON TOWN: were founded in 1963, nicknamed “Poachers”, colours sky blue/ Royal blue/sky (change yellow/white/yellow).They played in a Lincs league (Champs 64-65),Central Alliance (Champs 65-66) and Eastern Counties until 1968. Joined the Midland League 68-82 champions four times (74-75, 78-79, 80-81) Northern Counties East 82-87, Central Midlands 87-91(Champs 88-89). Joined UCL 91-92. Champions: 94-95 and 00-01. Formerly known as Boston until 83-84. They reached the FA Cup 1st Round in 76-77 losing 3-1 to Barnsley. FA Trophy best- 2nd round 79-80 lost 3-6 to Mossley. Reached the Semi-Finals of the FA Vase in 1994-95 losing 0-2 on aggregate to Taunton Town. Their record attendance was 2,700 against Boston United in the FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round in 1970. BOURNE TOWN: were founded in 1883, nicknamed “Wakes”, colours maroon and sky/sky/maroon (change white and sky/white and sky/sky) Former leagues are Peterborough until 47. UCL 47-56, Central Alliance 58-61, Midland Counties 61-63. Rejoined the UCL in 64, champs 68-69, 69-70, 71-72, 90-91. Record attendance is 3,000 v Chelmsford in the FA Trophy 1970. COGENHOE UNITED: were founded in 1967, nicknamed “Cooks”,colours- all royal, (change red & black stripes/black/red), they played in the Central Northants Combination from 67-84, champs 80-81, 82-83, 83-84. Joined the UCL Division 1 85-86, runners up in 86-87 and promoted to Premier Division. Runners up 99-00. Their record attendance of 1,000 was against an Eastenders XI, for a charity match in 1990. DEEPING RANGERS: were founded in 1966, colours Claret and Blue, change is White/claret/sky blue. Nickname- Rangers. Played in the Peterborough and District League before joining the UCL in 1999, finished third and second last season to be promoted to the Premier Division. Ground capacity 1,000 with 180 seats. DESBOROUGH TOWN: were founded in 1896, nickname “Ar Tarn”, colours blue and white stripes/blue/blue (change all red). Have always played in the UCL (previously called the Northants League.) Played in the Central Northants Combination until joining the UCL Division 1 in 80-81, champs 92-93 and 95-96 when they were promoted to the Premier Division, champs 99-00, 01-02. Map here HOLBEACH UNITED: were founded in 1929, nickname “Tigers”, colours gold and black stripes/black/black, (change All blue). They played in a Peterborough league until 46, then UCL 46-55, Eastern Counties 55-62, Midland Counties 62-63 before returning to the UCL where they were champs in 89-90. Reached the 1st Round of the FA Cup in 82-83 losing 4-0 against Wrexham and the 5th Round of the FA Vase in 88-89 losing 2-4 to Wisbech.Their highest attendance was in 1954 v Wisbech - 4,094. Reached the 4th round of the FA Vase in 87-88 losing 1-2 to Gresley Rovers. Former name was Spencer School Old Boys. Premier Division- runners-up 91-92, 94-95, champs and promoted 95-96 to Southern League Midland Division. Relegated back to UCL for 00-01. Reached FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round in 98, losing 0-2 to Enfield. FA Vase Semi-finalists in 94-95 losing against Arlesey. FA Trophy best 3rd Round 98. Record win 9-0 against Potton 95. ST IVES TOWN : were founded in 1887, nicknamed “Saints”, colours white and black/black/red, change colours – blue/black/black. They played in local and Peterborough leagues until joining the UCL Division 1 for the 1985-86 season, promoted to the premier division for the 2005-06 season. Disbanded in 88 reforming in 90 and joining the Huntingdonshire League- champs 90-94. UCL Division 1 champs 94-95 and promoted back to Premier Division. Were called St Neots and District 1879-57. (change all red). They played in the Kettering Amateur League before joining the UCL pre-1960. Relegated to Division 1. Promoted back in 75. Premier runners up 85-86. STOTFOLD: is a small town with a population of about 7,000. The first recorded football was played in 1904. The present ground was first used in 1911 by Stotfold Athletic when it was just a meadow named “Roker”. The club moved back to the ground in 1954 from the Hitchin Road recreation ground. Nicknamed “Eagles”, colours Amber and black, (change all sky blue) The club played in the Biggleswade and District League for the first 20 years of their history. Then 30 years in North Herts football. In 1951 they joined the South Midlands League Division 2 and were promoted to Division 1 in 1953. In 1955 they were promoted into the Premier Division where they stayed for the for the next 30 years, winning the championship in 1980 and being runners up nine times. They joined the UCL in 1984-85 and were runners up in 1993-94 and 1995-96. Record attendance 1,000 in the FA Amateur Cup V Letchworth Town. Colours yellow/ blue/ yellow.
